Are you suffering from stomach pain, indigestion or heartburn?

This article will help you understand that we have it all wrong!b2ap3_thumbnail_Indigestion_20140604-013316_1.jpg

Indigestion and heartburn is usually treated by over the counter antacids to reduce acid in the stomach. The claims by these company's that too much acid is causing the problem is total B.S. Yip you heard me right. I will briefly explain why it's the total opposite. We are swimming in acidity by jamming crap down our throats instead of cell reviving nutrients. Stress is thought by many to create even more acidity than poor nutrition and even negative thoughts play a role. For the purpose of this article i'll stick mostly to nutrition.

I am only interested in dealing with the root cause when it comes to health and ingesting antacids is a prime example of only masking the issue. If a baby is screaming its little head off because it hasn't eaten, and you put it on the other side of the house and shut the door because you can't deal with the noise, is that going to take care of the problem? Of course not but it will help the headache it has given you. Alternatively, feed the baby and it will stop. Same applies to indigestion and heartburn. This might sound strange at first but the root of your issue lies in the fact that you have a deficiency not an excess of gastric acid.b2ap3_thumbnail_indigestion-2.jpg

Try this experiment:

 - Pour 1 tablespoon of apple cider vinegar into a small glass of water. ACV has a very acidic pH of 2.4. If the problem is an excess of gastric acid your symptoms would become even worse, however they will usually get better. Confused yet?

Let me explain further. Indigestion and heartburn are symptoms of toxicity which creates a shortage of hydrochloric acid (an essential acid for digestion). When an area that should be acidic becomes overly alkaline it forces the body to produce even more acid from reserves which is taxing on the body. Remember, the body is in survival mode at all times and even more so in our times of high stress. PH is a factor that we need to take very seriously. Our blood pH needs to be between 7.35 and 7.45 and even the slightest shift up or down can lead to serious disease. In fact if it goes below 6.8 you will be on your way to meeting your forefathers within hours of the drop.b2ap3_thumbnail_healthy-body.jpg

So if you want to get to the root of your indigestion and heartburn, alkalize your system through good organic fruits and vegetables and keep your animal protein (organic whenever possible) down to under 30 grams per day. Your body cannot digest anymore than that efficiently and the rest will turn to acid. Keep your stress levels down, smile, love yourself and surround yourself with positive people. Try all the things for the next 90 days and let me know how you do.
