Without your health, you don't get to do all things that truly make you feel alive. I hope my short story inspires you to respect your body enough to take care of it!


In 2000 I broke my back in a motorcycle accident and was left in severe pain. b2ap3_thumbnail_Utah-motorcycle-accident.jpgAfter multiple spinal surgeries, including a spinal fusion, I found no relief and pain management seemed to be my only option. Being an athlete, and lifelong surfer and extreme sports enthusiast, my quality of life became so bad I began spiraling into a deep depression. I had tried every form of pain management in this period, and saw leaders in their respective fields. Physical therapy, chiropractic, acupuncture, massage therapy, natural healers and of course, the strongest prescription drugs available – I tried all with no lasting relief. I truly thought I would spend the rest of my life in misery.


I eventually discovered a process called Alphabiotics and after my first alignment I was nothing less than stunned to be instantly free of pain, with more mobility than I had in years. I almost cried with joy. If Alphabiotics could help me, I believed it could help anyone. It may sound corny, but I truly believe that finding such a powerful wellness system caused me to find my purpose in life - a way to help other people discover how to truly live life to their fullest potential.

Are you experiencing pain, fatigue, depression or other health challenges?

It is no secret that we live in the most stressful time in history. It is the opinion of a growing number of health care professionals that stress has become a global health epidemic. Even in conversation we b2ap3_thumbnail_stress-2.jpgthrow the word 'stress' around more and more every day. Stress has been clinically linked to the majority of major diseases. Almost all of our tension and pain is due to unrelieved stress patterns. A disease like cancer or a stroke doesn't happen overnight. They are the accumulation of years of stress put on the body. When I talk about stress, I’m talking about various types of stress. There is physical stress – such as repetitive motions, sitting at a computer for hours every day or accidents. chemical stress – such as prescription and non prescription drugs, pesticides in our food and chemicals in our water. And emotional stress – such as financial, work or family issues, that cause our cortisol levels and blood pressure to rise. The American Medical Association states that from the beginning of the problem, to the first symptom of a heart attack, forty three years go by. Unfortunately, in many cases, the first sign of illness results in death.


Why are we so stressed?

It is scary to measure how much stress is increasing every year. We live in a now society. Everyone wants everything now, gratification must be instant and patience is quickly becoming a thing of theb2ap3_thumbnail_stress-3.jpg past. If we could see into ourselves down to a cellular level at all times, we would very quickly think twice about losing patience and getting angry over things that cannot be controlled.

Alkaline water: Real or a scam?

It is the big talking point these days. Those shopping at Wholefoods market are buying alkaline water, while those at Ralph's are b2ap3_thumbnail_water.jpgbuying cases of 'non-alkaline' or as i'd rather call it, 'acidic' water. I have personally tested numerous brands of bottled water and the results are pretty shocking. Everyone in the global community is affected by the quality of our water resources. The water we drink should be free from harmful chemicals to ensure good health. The purity of ground and surface waters in our environment is vital to ensuring sustainable use. Process waters must be kept clean from contaminants to ensure product quality and acceptable exposure levels.


What is pH?

pH is the measure of the acidity or alkalinity of a solution. The pH scale ranges from 0 to 14. A pH of 0-6 is acidic, a pH of 7 is neutral and a pH of 8-14 is alkaline. Pure water has a neutral pH and human saliva is close to neutral, while our blood is slightly alkaline. Seawater is between 7.7 and 8.3 on the pH scale, and products like hand soap, ammonia and bleach are more alkaline in the range from 9.0 – 12.5.

Are you suffering from IBS, constipation or any other digestion related problems?

You only have to turn on your television and watch any commercial pushing another drug to see how out of control the health 'care' system has become. I keep thinking I'm watching an episode of 'Saturday Night Live' when they list all the side effects, but there is nothing funny about it! The FDA seems to approve anything if the price is right, without considering the long term consequences.


I would love to ask them this: “So let me get this right: You want me to accept ten dangerous side effects to help me lower my blood sugar levels? Here's an idea - how about funding commercials that let people know how to lower their blood sugar levels naturally? Oh right, there's no money in that.” It’s absolutely maddening.


In fact, instead of hiring Monsanto employees to saturate all levels of the FDA, why don’t we sponsor commercials that educate people on what pain really is? Perhaps if we explain that pain is a good thing and that it is simply our body’s way of communicating to us that there is a problem, we’d have a much healthier, happier society?

The National *Center for Disease Control recently provided data that shows two out of three Americans are overweight or obese, making people of ideal body weight the minority. Consider at the same time, the weight loss and fitness industry is a multi-billion dollar machine. There is no way the third that are of ideal body weight are buying all of the weight loss "remedies", and fitness gear. People want to lose weight, and most are legitimately trying but there appears to be a dimension to the problem holding them back.


Since the 1950's, health experts have been saying the solution to our obesity is simple: 'Eat less and exercise more.' This is obviously not working and something is clearly missing! Here is the missing link: Stress causes weight gain. It's true and I'll show why it makes perfect sense.


When we get locked into a stressed state we are constantly producing the hormone 'Cortisol' (also known as the 'death hormone.') Cortisol production leads to increased appetite and increased belly Belly Fatfat, since our body's natural mechanism to fight stress is to begin storing reserves for what thousands of years ago might have been a very long winter, a scarcity of food or some other stressful state our ancestors would have encountered. Fat cells even have an enzyme called HSD that increases Cortisol levels within the cell as a way to encourage more fat storage, so you can see how the problem begins compound very quickly.
